Not only do I recommend the Stubital area for Winter or Summer vacations, but I recommend taking the Stubitalbahn (street car) from Fuplmes in the Stubital Valley down to Innsbruck. It is about a 50 minute excursion but the sights on the way down the mountain are fabulous.
